The Götheborg Ship
On Saturday 9th of June The Swedish Ship Götheborg returned to her home port Göteborg in a fantastic sunshine and warm weather. The ship has been out sailing for over 20 months on her first adventurous expedition to China and back. Already early in the morning the ship was met by a lot of small and bigger boats that welcomed her home.
Chinese President Hu Jintao and the swedish Royal family were onboard the ship to welcome the successful arrival of the ship. This is the first Chinese State visit to Sweden in 57 years. The day before, Swedbank opened its first branch office in China with a formal inauguration hosted by Carl Eric Stålberg, Executive Chairman of Swedbank Group in Shanghai.
